User Guide

1.0 Introduction

This document guides a user through the necessary step to successfully login to our app and navigate through the Artisans, Orders, Reports, and Settings icons.

2.0 Logging into the Application

  1. At the login page you will be propted to login in through your Handmade account or login through your Amazon account

  2. Enter your Handmade login at this point or click the "Login with Amazon" button to login with your amazon account

    1. Here you may signup as well for an Amazon account to recieve login credentials

3.0 Managing Artisans

After tapping the button you are presented with a screen of artisans under the respective CGA's account.

3.1 Filtering your Artisans

  1. Navigate to the top tab of the screen where it says "Search Artisans"

  2. Enter respective artisan name and it will filter artisans based off name and location

3.2 Adding an Artisan

Navigate up to the top right of your screen and click the add icon

  1. There you will be propted with a page to select an image to go with the artisan as well as fill out their name, city, country, and biography

  2. Once done, click the "ADD ARTISAN" button at the bottom of the page to add the artisan

  3. Now your newly added artisan should be viewable in your list of artisans

3.3 Viewing an Artisan's Profile

In the artisan listing screen just tap on the artisan's whose profile you want to view. This will prompt you to a page that displays the artisan's details and allow you to edit, message, make payouts, or view item listings.

3.4 Editing an Artisan's Profile

Following the steps in 3.3 you should be at the artisan's profile.

  1. Navigate to the top right of the screen and hit the "EDIT" button

  2. That will redirect you to a page where you may change the artisan's picture, name, location, number, or bio.

  3. After the respective changes are made, tap the "UPDATE ARTISAN" button on the bottom of the screen

3.5 Messaging an Artisan

Following the steps in 3.3 you should be at the artisan's profile.

  1. Tap on the bottom left icon to access your phone's messaging services

  2. Select respective 3rd party messaging app to communicate with artisan

3.6 Making Payouts to an Artisan

Following the steps in 3.3 you should be at the artisan's profile.

  1. Click on indicated icon

  2. This will navigate you to a page with your current balance in dollars and the payment amount you would like to make to the artisan along with the date

  3. Once the amount you'd like to payout is selected, click on the "CONTINUE TO SIGNATURE" button at the bottom of the screen

  4. Here you will be presented with a sketch pad to verify the payment with the CGA's signature.

  5. If signature is correct tap "DONE" else tap "CLEAR" and retry the signature.

  6. If payment was approved it will give an alert box of the successful transaction.

3.7 List an Artisan's items

Following the steps in 3.3 you should be at the artisan's profile.

  1. Click on the bottom right Icon

  2. This should open up a page of all the artisan's items

  3. Here you will be able to filter through items like you could filter artisans (3.1)

3.8 Reviewing Payout History

Following the steps in 3.3 you should be at the artisan's profile.

  1. click on indicated icon

  2. this should open up a page of the artisan's payout history

3.9 Adding an Item listing for an Artisan

Following the steps in 3.7 you should be at the artisan's item listing page

  1. Click on the "+" icon on the top right

  2. Here you will be provided with Category -> Sub-Category -> Specific Category your item falls under

  3. Once your selection has been made, tap the "CONTINUE" button at the bottom

  4. This will take you to the Item Info page where you will enter the item's details.

  5. Once that is done. tap on the "CONTINUE" button at the bottom

  6. Here you will be prompted to select up to 6 images to associate with the item

  7. After that you can click the "CONFIRM LISTING" button

3.10 Editing an item in and Artisan's Item Listing

Following the steps in 3.7 you should be at the artisan's item listing page

  1. Select desired Item you'd like to edit

  2. Once on the item's profile, click on the top right where it says "EDIT"

  3. There you will be able to go through the steps 2-7 stated in 3.8

4.0 Managing Orders

Tap the "Orders" button on the home screen to be directed to Order Management. The Orders page will display with a list of your orders. Note that you will only see orders with items made by your Artisans.

4.1 Filtering Orders

  1. Navigate to the top tab of the screen where it says "Search Orders"

  2. Enter the desired order number and the orders will be filtered by that number

4.2 Viewing an Order

  1. Select an order in the list by tapping on it

  2. The order information will be displayed, including items in the order

  3. You may tap on any item in the list to view information about that particular item

4.3 Shipping an Order

  1. Select an order in the list by tapping on it

  2. In the upper right-hand corner, tap the "Update Shipped Status" button to toggle the shipping status

5.0 Report Generation

Tap the "Reports" button on the home screen to be directed to Report Generation. This page allows you to generate various financial or other types of reports useful for CGAs and their Artisans.

NOTE: Reports generated are currently using placeholder data until the statistics needed from Amazon are available.

5.1 Generating a Sample Report

  1. Select the desired type of report

  2. Select an Artisan to use his/her data for the report

  3. Tap the "Generate Report" button

  4. A sample report will display using dummy data

  5. Tap "Done" to go back when finished viewing the report

6.0 Settings

6.1 Changing the Language

  1. Tap the "Change Language" button

  2. The Android "Language and Input" settings will display

  3. Tap the top row labeled "Language"

  4. Tap the desired language, or if needed, tap to "Add language" and then select the newly added language

  5. Tap the back arrow to navigate back to the Amazon Handmade app, and the text will be translated to the newly selected language

  6. Tap "Update Settings" to save your new language setting and be taken to the home page of the app

NOTE: Currently, we support translations for English, French, and Spanish only.

6.2 Syncing Account Data

  1. Tap "Sync Account Data"

  2. A popup message will display while the data is synchronized

  3. When the data sync is complete, the popup message will close

6.3 Logging Out

  1. Tap the "Log Out" button
